Product disclaimer Features and Specifications

Every effort is taken to ensure that the Products supplied correspond as closely as possible to the samples in our shop,  variations can happen and may vary due to unique and characteristic of the materials.

For made to measure items where customer has given no specific instruction we reserve the right to carry out work according to fabric type and price paid.

Product specifications will vary from range to range as reflected in the design and price, however, all our Products are manufactured to the same high quality standards.

All pattern repeats vary.  Please be aware at the time of selection the type of pattern repeat within the design you have selected. Pattern repeats have a tolerance of +/- 5%

Any goods that require more than one width of fabric will have joins and seams.

Any goods that have been altered by a third party or independently cannot be returned or refunded.

Whilst every effort is made to make your items to the exact measurements given; the make up can vary by 1cm, which is the standard industry tolerance allowance.

Colour matching - Product colour and shade may vary from one manufacturing batch to another. This will be more apparent if orders are placed at different times.

Threads/Fibres - Our fabrics are constructed with various natural threads and synthetic fibres. Often there are slubs and natural weave irregularities which enhance the final appearance of the fabric. It should be noted that this is not a defect and is an inherent characteristic of the cloth.

Shrinkage - Please be aware that up to 5% shrinkage may occur due to variations in atmospheric conditions whilst in situ at the window, or during the first wash or dry clean. There is sufficient fabric available within the hems to enable any necessary adjustment in length.  Our curtains are made with either a weighted rolled bottom or a large hem to create weight. The type of hem is determined by the fabric used unless specified by the customer.

Dry Cleaning/Washing -  always check with the Dry Cleaners prior to commencement of cleaning.

Creasing- Our curtains are carefully packed any folding of material will cause certain creases; in the case of velvet and man-made fibre material, these will drop out after hanging. Any folding of material for prolonged periods or any items left in the packaging for long period in times may result in long term creasing or may affect the fabric permanently. Cotton prints may need a cool iron.

Ironing - Should you feel it necessary to iron your curtains, do not allow the heat on the material to build up as this can distort the cloth. Curtains are manufactured with traditional rolled side seams to enhance the material - do not try to flatten these.

IMPORTANT - Sun & Water: Curtains and Exterior Fabrics - Extreme sunlight will damage the fabric and we recommend you line  your curtains . Glass magnifies the destructive elements of the sun rays and it should be noted that the winter sun is as harmful as summer sun. However exterior shutter blinds are a useful barrier against sunlight if you have them.

UV protected water resistant fabric for items used outdoors withstands greater exposure to the sun and will fade at a slower rate to standard fabrics. This fabric is water resistant and not waterproof so it is advisable to bring items inside when not in use or during inclement weather. Should your cushions become very wet ensure they are allowed to dry completely (cover and foam) before storing.  Failure to protect the fabric will result in claims for fading being rejected. Exterior fabrics can be machine washed with normal washing detergent.  DO NOT use any prewash or additional products which may contain bleach or other chemicals.
